Zamora Tipped For England Call Up

Fulham striker Andy Johnson believes strike partner Bobby Zamora is can force his way into the England squad due to his superb recent form.

The Cottagers striker has been injured this season but his team-mate has already doubled last season goal tally, chipping in with ten goals in all competitions.

Johnson says Zamora is challenging for a World Cup place along with the likes of Emile Heskey and Peter Crouch.

According to Press Association Sport, he said: “I can definitely see Bobby Zamora playing for England. Fabio Capello has always said he picks players in form.

“In the role that Bobby performs, there’s no one in better form at the moment.

“There are two others players fighting for that place which is Emile Heskey and Peter Crouch.

“Bobby is the third one, so there are three people fighting for that spot.

“If he continues doing what he’s doing – scoring and playing the way he does – he has a great chance of making it.”
